YANDINA Branch of the Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) is hosting a special Centenary High Tea this Friday, October 14 from 11.30 am at the QCWA Division Hall at 11 Stevens Street, Yandina to celebrate 100 years of the QCWA. Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy delicious homemade savoury and sweet treats served on beautiful vintage crockery and listen to our guest speaker Sunshine Coast Council CEO Ms Emma Thomas. Attendees are invited to wear ‘Roaring 20s’ themed dress since the QCWA was formed in 1922 with Ruth Fairfax as the founding president. There will be displays, raffles, a lucky door prize, the auctioning of an original artwork, giveaways, and a prize for best dressed.
Due to limited numbers, bookings are essential, and tickets are just $25 and are to be pre-purchased by contacting Yandina Branch President Maureen on 0478 659 639 or qcwayandina@gmail.com
Please come along and help us celebrate this milestone.
