Coolum Lions have hit the ground running in 2025, with the club once again helping others by way of financial help, with the Coolum Boardriders Club receiving $2,000 recently. Coolum Boardriders were very happy with the windfall. “We are so lucky to have such an amazing community. The Lions Club of Coolum surprised us at our first round of the year with the most generous donation – thank you Lions.” The Coolum Lions had a huge 2024, with the group giving back a staggering $53,782 to the Coolum community. Highlights for the club included the $5,000 to Coolum State High School to help students with financial limitations, $3,880 to Coolum Meals on Wheels for a new hot water heater and $3,250 to Coolum Soccer Club to replace fencing. Over the summer months, the Coolum Lions host the twilight markets in Tickle Park and use the Boardriders’ clubhouse for storage and are ever so grateful for the support.
