THE Coolum Colts are gearing up for the 2025 season with their first game of the season to be played against Stanley Rivers at Woodford this Sunday, March 30.
The Reserve Grade will also play Stanley Rivers while the U19s have a bye.
The Colts are striving to build upon their 2024 success, which saw them play in the A Grade Grand Final for the first time after only their second year in the Sunshine Coast A Grade Comp.
Capitalising on this momentum, the players have been in serious training since the start of the year.
With many of the A Grade squad returning, plus a number of new signings, the club is confident of a strong showing in 2025.
For the first time in its history, Coolum Colts will be fielding an Open Women’s team in 2025, thus bringing a new dimension to the club.
President Simon Kidman said the Open Women’s coach, Scott Bloomfield, has done an amazing job building his squad.
“We have a mix of experience across the squad.
“This is very important to the club to be able to field the Open Women’s team with the aim of retaining all juniors coming through the ranks.”
Club supporters are encouraged to go to the club’s Facebook page so they can order the 2025 very striking merchandise and follow for all notices, and get down to each home game throughout the season.
