Did you manage to catch the full moon on March 14, which was also a total lunar eclipse and known as the ‘blood moon’? A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon and thus casts a shadow on the moon. The moon does not completely go black, and instead, sunlight bends and reaches the moon, which makes it look red. Unfortunately, Australia didn’t have the best vantage to see this event, with the Americas the prime place to have seen the unique moon. Despite this, a full moon always looks great in our region, especially when the moon dances across the water.
